AMERICAN KENPO

American Kenpo is a martial art characterized by the use of quick hand strikes in rapid succession. The multitude of fast strikes has a dual purpose, to overwhelm an opponent, while attempting to ensure that the strikes effectively hit their target, comparable to a striking combination.

KUNG-FU

Kung-Fu is the art of striking and grappling. It is a combination of punches, kicks and strikes with long and short ranges, grappling, joint locks, and strangling and nerve holds designed to restrain an opponent. Kung-Fu, which originated in the Shaolin Temple in China over 4,000 years ago, is considered to be the oldest Martial Art in the world.

AMERICAN
BUDOJUJUTSU

Jujutsu is known as an “unarmed" close combat system used to defeat or control an enemy who is similarly unarmed. Basic methods of attack include hitting or striking, thrusting or punching, kicking, throwing, pinning or immobilizing, strangling, and joint locking.

JAPANESE NEWAZA

Newaza is the Japanese term for ground-fighting. It translates to "mat or ground techniques". The use of the term is widespread in Judo circles, which maintain the Japanese naming tradition. Newaza or ground-fighting encompasses all techniques used in closed-combat when one or both opponents are not standing.

AMERICAN BOXING

Boxing is a combat sport involving attack and defense with the fists. In boxing two people engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, endurance, and will, by throwing punches with gloved hands against each other.

FILIPINO ESCRIMA

Escrima is a term for the traditional martial arts of the Philippines that emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives and other bladed weapons, and various improvised weapons. It also includes hand-to hand combat, joint locks, grappling and weapon disarming techniques.
